I have compiled this list of resources that can be utilized by homeschoolers. Many are nationwide, but I have included some that are Virginia based since we are located in Central Virginia. I will continue to add links as time goes on, so check back often. If you have a link that you think I should add please contact me, or leave them in a comment.
Since we are secular homeschoolers so I have not included any religious groups.
Nationwide:
- Teaching Resources and Lesson Plans from the Federal Government – Free
- Khan Academy – A great site filled educational videos.
- World History for Us All – A huge assortment of history lessons and resources. This site shows history as “a single story rather than unconnected stories of many civilizations.”
- The Happy Scientist - A wonderful science website filled with video’s and science lessons.
Virginia:
- The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers – Everything you need to know about homeschooling in the state of Virginia. They also have great resources that can be used nationwide.
- Time 4 Learning Virginia – Homeschooling forum for Virginia homeschoolers
- Homeschool World – A list of Virginia homeschool organizations and support groups
- Homeschooling in Virginia – A site that compiles a bunch of information about homeschooling in Virginia
- Homeschool Central – Virginia homeschool support groups and resources

- Pinterest - I pin lessons that I find into organized homeschool boards. I also have PreK and Kindergarten boards that include lessons that fit the curriculum that I have designed.
